Bipolar Diary: It's okay to be not okay

It’s okay to cry.

It’s okay to tell someone that you’re having a bad day.

It’s okay to sigh.

It’s okay to remove that mask you wear all day long.

It’s okay to be blue.

It’s okay to stop pretending you’re strong.

It’s okay to be sad.

It’s even okay to be a bit mad.

It’s okay not to laugh.

It’s okay not to smile.

It’s okay to want to be rubbed on the back.

It’s okay… It’s okay.

It’s okay because it will remind us that we’re alive

It will remind us that we are real.

It will remind us that we are still ourselves.

It’s okay to live and to be ourselves.

It’s okay.

Sometimes it’s okay to be not okay for the day

Now pour it all out because it’s okay.

Pour it all out until you can finally face tomorrow with a smile.

And then you will finally be okay.
